Anybody awake out there? It's Smoke and I'm looking at my bar, rather upset by how much damage the fire did. Guess I'm going up to Temp to raid an empty room. I don't need a beautiful cot or anything, but it'd be nice to have a pillow & blanket. Starting tomorrow I'll be fixing the place up by hand, just like how I built it.

Bonus, I have a little friend with me who'll be helping find anything that's not burnt to a crisp. ♥ He'll be known as Big Ears until I figure out a better name, because right now he's driving me crazy enough to just keep calling him that.

Is anyone else awake right now? Because I sure as hell shouldn't be.

I gotta admit, I've gotten pretty damn happy about being able to sleep naked in my own bed, but still be warm enough under my blankets. I just woke up - slow night, what can you do - because I was sweating like a freaking pig. I throw my blankets off, jump out of bed, and try to figure out what the hell is going on...

When I realize that I'm not buck naked anymore. I quickly found a mirror and honestly... I didn't think I could look more ridiculous! This terrible haircut and now some... stupid... stuffy... uniform??? I look like I belong to somebody AND a giant dork!

I mean, who would want to wear a jacket that's way too tight with little patches on the sides and no way to show off your chest, ON TOP OF a shirt that's trying to choke you, an extra-silky noose around neck.

Now, I know that some people can pull this look off. However, they do not have kid-short pink hair AND THEY ARE NOT WEARING RIDICULOUS CLOWN-PANTS! They're giving me seriously bad vibes, just sitting in them. Like if I was running out the door in five minutes, I had no other clean pants, and I had no expectation of meeting attractive people while I was out... I might grab this shit, if I was doing exhaustive manual labor. Or I might go in shorts, or just my boxers - it'd be a less offensive fashion statement for a guy my age than this dumb outfit. I mean, come on, the pockets aren't even big enough for my hands to fit in!

... Ugh, that was a lot of writing. My hand hurts now. I'm super-tired too. Damn.

I officially need a tracking device on this damn thing. I looked all over my place for the stupid book and then remembered, Oh yeah. There was that time a few days ago when I tried to go Scavenging all by my dumb self. MAYBE THAT WAS HOW I LOST IT!

So you go figure, took me a helluva long time to find that thing again because I'm sorry but I kinda wanted the old thing back. Sentimental kinda guy, that's me. I coulda gone & asked for a new one, I know, but I also didn't think I'd lost the damn thing for good either.

One good thing I guess. Found a kinda cool looking gun nearby where my journal was. I say cool-looking cuz it was all tiny and stuff, but had this real detailed design on it - one half of the circle was white and another half was black, but it wasn't like... completely half and half, it was sort of tear-shaped I guess? Rain-drop shaped? Hell if I know, looked cool and felt familiar so I figured why not? It's junk anyway, righ
