I think it's usually just too confusing to bother with. I dunno. I'm surprised you think the 'community' is tight-knit.

It's just... generally considered the worst possible outcome around here, for someone to disappear. That means the possibility of death, and death means that if the person comes back, it's a gamble if they'll remember anything or everything or parts of it.

I'd rather learn as much about how this place works as I can than bury my head in the sand. And, well, it's relatively small and people seem very friendly. So it seems close-knit to me.
