I didn't see it; I got there right after. But they said she was looking at a book, and called everyone over to see something she'd found. Then...either a tree branch or root came through the window and killed her.
[She pauses; Smoke seemed trustworthy, but it would be stupid to tell him any more than what was already common knowledge. Not until she knew him better.]
There's no way to know for certain what's dangerous to say, so I didn't want to be around any trees when telling you.
